On Wednesday 29 July I am hosting the first of a series of events designed to look at racism and other structural inequalities in Bristol, and action we can take to make the city a more equal place. I will be joined by some of Bristol’s leading campaigners and community activists.

This event will be looking at how Bristol can draw on the campaigning energy of the Black Lives Matter movement, starting with discussing statues, place names and cultural institutions and going on to consider how Bristol’s individuals and organisations can work to end discrimination. There will be other events which will focus on education and employment in more detail. I hope that you will join in this first discussion – you can find more details for how to register and join the Facebook Live on Facebook or on Eventbrite.
