Donald Trump’s peace plan for the Middle East risks worsening, rather than solving, the conflict in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. Today I asked Foreign Minister Andrew Murrison his opinion on the ‘conceptual map’ proposed by President Trump. As the map shows Israel controlling the Jordan Valley, this would have major implications for farmers on the Palestinian side who rely on scarce water resources. History shows us that any plan for peace must consider the prosperity of people on both sides – otherwise it is doomed to fail.
