Today I confronted the Prime Minister with her shrinking options when it comes to the European Union. May’s only way out is likely to be another public vote – or remaining in the EU.
She has often said that the options are her deal, no deal, or staying in the EU. Parliament has convincingly rejected her deal and voted against no deal. When she brings the deal back to Parliament next month, I am sure we will reject it again.
The Prime Minister must face the facts. The 2016 referendum result has been impossible to deliver, because it was based on impossible promises. This is now becoming urgent. Our European neighbours are running out of patience and will not give us more time.
