Yesterday I asked what the government is doing to investigate the Department of Work and Pensions’ (DWP) shameful record of benefits underpayment.

In recent months my brilliant and dedicated caseworkers have managed to help several people who have been underpaid benefits, including disability benefit. In a number of cases we successfully won back thousands of pounds people were owed. This should be cause for celebration, but it worries me that there are likely to be many people across the country in the same situation.
