We’ve now seen text messages proving that the Prime Minister knew “hopeless” Hancock was failing to protect care homes – so why did he keep him in the most important job through a global health crisis?
I asked Jacob Rees-Mogg whether this was why the government had failed so badly.
In response to my question, he said that Hancock was “the brilliant, the one and only, successful genius who has been running Health over the last 15 months. He has done so much to make not only the country but the world safer.”
I don’t think care home workers I have spoken to would agree…
