Every year hundreds of tonnes of microbeads from these products wash into our oceans, causing massive ecological damage. Microbeads can easily be replaced by natural particles such as salt, sugar or sand. Therefore I would certainly support a ban on microbeads in the UK, following the US’s recent example.
