Yesterday we went canvassing in Bishopston with Keir Starmer, the Shadow Brexit Secretary. He was so encouraged to see how many of us are out passionately campaigning for a Labour government.
He also clearly laid out Labour’s policy on Brexit: to secure a better deal than Boris Johnson’s, to offer a second referendum with the Labour deal versus remain, and to do that within six months. As I have always done, I will be campaigning for remain.
As we’ve heard on the doorstep, Brexit is not the only concern and people want real change. I will be campaigning for a government that protects the planet, boosts school funding, and puts money back into our public services which have been starved for so long.
