A meeting with Thangam Debbonaire, Labour's parliamentary candidate for Bristol West, and Stella Creasy MP, Shadow Minister for Crime Prevention.

The meeting will discuss Labour's record on improving women's representation in parliament, what we can do to improve this and a chance to discuss what's in the Labour party manifesto, with particular reference to end violence against women.

Thangam has worked locally, nationally and internationally for 25 years to end domestic violence.  She moved to Bristol to be Women’s Aid’s first ever National Children’s Officer, setting up support for children in refuges.  Since then she's set up prevention programmes in schools, worked with perpetrators, carried out research and helped to change the law.
