Congratulations to Marvin Rees on being selected as Labour’s candidate for Mayor of Bristol.
Marvin’s vision and passion for Bristol will draw support from people right across the city. He’s committed to tackling the social and economic inequalities that mean the city doesn’t function as effectively as it should. He’ll make Bristol a living wage city, work hard to end child poverty, fight for a better transport system and make it a priority to provide more affordable housing. He wants to create a prosperous, vibrant city that all Bristolians can feel part of.
Marvin has the skill to work closely with institutions, individuals, employers and other groups across the city to develop practical policies and bring about lasting change.
He will be an excellent Labour Mayor for Bristol.
Well done, too, to Mark Bradshaw who also ran an excellent campaign and I know will continue his great work for the city.
